Last week of IDP/budget meetings

06 May 2019

The last four public meetings about Kouga Municipality’s draft Integrated Development Plan (IDP) and budget for the upcoming 2019/2020 financial year will take place next week.

Executive Mayor Horatio Hendricks said the meeting for Ward 6 would take place on 13 May in a tent at the KwaNomzamo Community Hall, followed by the meeting for Ward 5 on 14 May at the Kruisfontein Civic Centre.

The meeting for Ward 14 will be held on 15 May at the Tokyo Sexwale Sport Stadium in Jeffreys Bay while the meeting for Ward 15 will take place on 16 May in a tent at the Humansdorp Country Club.

All meetings will start at 6pm.

Hendricks encouraged all residents from the wards to attend the meetings.

“It is an opportunity for residents to participate in the municipality’s planning processes for the new financial year.

"Important information about water and electricity allocations will also be discussed,” he said.

Queries about the IDP can be directed to IDP manager Colleen Dreyer atcdreyer@kouga.gov.za and about the budget to Shukree Abrahams atsabrahams@kouga.gov.za or phone 042 200 2200.
