New councillor sworn in

Councillor Jaques Alexander (centre) is welcomed by Municipal Manager Charl du Plessis and Speaker Hattingh Bornman.

Councillor Jaques Alexander was sworn in as a councillor of the Kouga Council this morning.
Born and bred in Humansdorp, the new DA councillor replaces Nico Botha, who passed away last year.
Clr Alexander is well known in his community where he is actively involved in education, church and sport.
He also established a soup kitchen last year to help families affected by the Covid-19 lockdown put food on their tables.
