Power off at Humansdorp on 16 June

12 June 2019

Another big power interruption has been scheduled for Humansdorp this coming Sunday.

Kouga Infrastructure and Engineering Portfolio Councillor Freddy Campher said the electricity supply to the whole town will be interrupted from 8am to 4pm on Sunday, 16 June.

Affected areas include Boskloof, KwaNomzamo, the Central Business District, industrial area and Kruisfontein.

“The interruption is necessary to complete the electrification project at Kruisfontein,” he said.

Campher reminded residents to treat all electrical appliances and outlets as live during the interruption.

The shutdown is subject to the weather, with the alternative date having been set for the following Sunday, 23 June.
