Stall applications stream in for JBay Makiti

07 May 2019

Stall applications have been streaming in for the JBay Makiti, set to take place from 20 to 22 September 2019 at the Jeffreys Bay Caravan Park.

Kouga Executive Mayor Horatio Hendricks said the festival organisers were looking for “a wide range of high-quality arts, craft and food stalls to spice up the Makiti”.

"The closing date for applications is 30 June. We would like to encourage all local businesses and entrepreneurs to make use of this opportunity to showcase and sell their products and services."

He said an added drawing card for stall-holders this year was that there would be space available in a marquee for those who want protection from the weather or the benefit of not having to pack up their stalls in the evening.

Stall space inside the marquee will cost R1 500 for a 3m by 3m area. Stall space outside will cost R1 200 (3m by 3m), R1 500 (3m by 5m) or R2 000 (3m by 10m).

The fees include one 15A caravan power point per stall. Additional power points will cost per single phase and R1 200 for three-phase electricity.

There will also be space available for exhibitions or activities.

“About 10 000 people visited the KIA Makietie last year and we expect far greater numbers this year, making it the perfect place for businesses and entrepreneurs to display and sell their products and services,” Hendricks said.

Prospective stall-holders can contact Estelle on 082 824 3124 or email her at jbaymakiti@gmail.com for the application form. The application form can also be accessed via the JBay Makiti Facebook page at www.facebook.com/JBayMakiti/ or website at www.jbaymakiti.net

A non-refundable administration fee of R100 is payable.
