The Kouga Local Municipality hereby invites applications from suitably qualified persons for appointment in the following vacancy: DIRECTORATE FINANCE: MANAGER: SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT

REQUIREMENTS:                                    

B. Degree or equivalent qualification in financial management and administration.

Must comply with Government notice 40593 National Treasury no. 91 dated 3 February 2017.

At least five (5) years relevant experience in supply chain management in a municipal environment, 3 years of which must have been in a managerial capacity

Knowledge of PFMA, MFMA, SCM Regulations and other applicable legislation.

Valid driver’s license.

DUTIES:                                                

Managing the SCM Unit.

Managing the development of the supply chain management function to ensure efficient implementation of financial policies and compliance with legislative requirements.

Managing the suppliers’ data base.

Managing Bid Committees.

Managing implementation of the MFMA, the SCM Policy, the SCM Regulations and other relevant regulations.

Managing the reporting on the SCM activities and associated legal compliance to Council and its Committees.

SALARY:                                              

R 569 778.63 – R 722 625.86 per annum (TCTC excluding Perk Scheme Car Allowance).
