2 x FIRE FIGHTERS: GRADE III

 

REQUIREMENTS                                    

Grade 12;

Must be in a possession of a valid code C drivers licence (code 10);

Basic knowledge of Fire Fighting;

Must be able to speak two of the three official languages of Kouga (English, Afrikaans and Xhosa);

Must attach a Medical Certificate of fitness by a medical practitioner.

 

SPECIAL WORKING CONDITIONS        

The successful incumbent must be able to work shifts, work overtime and must perform standby duties;

The successful incumbent must be physically fit to undergo a physical evaluation;

Ability to cope with traumatic and stressful situations;

Adaptability in a changing working environment.

 

SALARY                                                R113 328.00 – R147 120.00.00 per annum

                                                            2 X ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH PRACTITIONERS

 

REQUIREMENTS:                                   

National Diploma: Environmental Health;

Registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA);

Must have completed 1 Year Community Services;

Valid Code EB Driver’s License;

Computer literacy;

Good inter-personal, written and verbal    communication skills;

12 months work experience;

Must be able to speak two (2) of the three (3) official languages (Afrikaans, English and Xhosa).

 

SALARY:                                               R195 552.00 – R253 800.00 per annum

 

DUTIES:                                                

Conduct Inspections and investigations of residential, commercial or other occupied premises and / or open spaces and/or public facilities to determine compliance to by – laws and statutory legislations; Visiting specific premises and observing and recording outcomes of production distribution and consumption areas and the storage, handling and processing sequence.

Assessing and analyzing the adequacy of structural design to accommodate specific business operations with due consideration given to ventilation, lighting, emission and waste extraction systems.

Attending to complaints related to health and safety nuisances (overgrown vegetation, illegal dumping, etc.) and records observations.

Evaluating awareness and adequacy of procedures related to refuse and waste handling and disposal and, collects and performs tests / analysis on samples.

Identifying polluting sources and agents and / or attending community concerns on the spread of infectious diseases and conducts environmental health, hazard and risk assessments.

PA: DIRECTOR CORPORATE SERVICES

 

REQUIREMENTS:                                   

Relevant tertiary qualification in a secretarial or related field (NQF Level 6);

3 years experience as a PA or secretary;

Computer Literate with advanced excel & word skills;

Telephone etiquette;

Must be able to speak, read and write in at least two of the official languages (Afrikaans, English, and Xhosa);

Must have good interpersonal relations;

Ability to deal with confidential information;

Good communication skills;

Excellent typing skills.                                     

 

SALARY:                                               R154 260.00 – R200 220.00 per annum

 

DUTIES:                                                

Provides secretarial support to Director and attends to specific office support/ clerical activities

associated with the preparation, copy in typing, circulation, safekeeping and retrieval of documents/

correspondence

Sourcing and making available routine

Information pertaining to scheduled activities of the Municipality;

Consolidation of monthly reports;

Take minutes in Directorate meetings;

Planning & coordinating events programs.

Sourcing quotes and preparing requisitions;

Facilitate development of performance files for the Director;

Liaise with internal and external stakeholders;

Performs all administrative activities associated with that of a Personal Assistant.

REQUIREMENTS:                                   

Grade 8 or equivalent;

Valid code 14 drivers licence with PDP;         

1-year minimum driving experience in heavy duty vehicles;

Required to work outside normal working hours during emergencies and planned overtime;

Must be able to speak two of the official languages (Afrikaans, English, and Xhosa).

SALARY:                                               R113 328.00 – R147 120.00 per annum

 

DUTIES:                                                

Performs task associated with the transportation of material/ equipment and personnel to/from work sites and operation of heavy vehicles during maintenance activities.

REQUIREMENTS:                                   

Valid code B Driving License;

6-12 months relevant work experience;

SUPERINTENDENT FLEET

 

REQUIREMENTS:                                   

Trade tested artisan from a registered trade institution or equivalent 10 years’ experience;

Code 10 driver’s license;

3 years minimum experience in fleet operation and supervision;

Required to work outside normal working hours during emergencies and planned overtime;

Subject to Medical Fitness;

Must be able to speak two of the official languages (Afrikaans, English, and Xhosa).                            

SALARY:                                               R272 520.00 – R353 748.00 per annum

 

DUTIES:                                                

Coordinates and controls the operations of the fleet, inclusive of monitoring and implementing procedures, establishing resources requirements, planning and scheduling service delivery and maintenance programmes and evaluating outcomes, monitoring and attending to deviations in productivity and performance and attending to specific administrative and information reporting requirements and processes regarding fleet of the municipality.

ARTISAN AUTO ELECTRICAL

 

REQUIREMENTS:                                   

Qualified Auto Electrician with N3 certificate or equivalent and/or 3 years relevant experience

1 years supervisory experience

Valid code 10 driver’s license;

Required to work in all weather conditions;

Required to work outside normal working hours during emergencies and planned overtime;

Subject to Medical Fitness;

Must be able to speak two of the official languages (Afrikaans, English, and Xhosa).                            

SALARY:                                               R173 688.00 – R225 420.00 per annum

 

DUTIES:                                                

Investigate, diagnose and perform trade related maintenance and repairs to equipment and machinery according to the maintenance requirements;

Perform inspections in accordance with the Health & Safety Act regulations;

Report all defects and breakdowns on equipment and machinery to the Superintendent Fleet;

Identify spares requirements for machinery and equipment and order according to departmental procedure;

Completion of maintenance job cards;

Maintain a good relationship with operational personnel;

Assign corrective measures and follow-up on outstanding/overdue actions.

REQUIREMENTS:                                   

Plant Operators Certificate Class I;

6 months experience;

Required to work in all weather conditions;

SALARY:                                               R96 000.00 – R124 608.00 per annum

 

DUTIES:                                                

Attends to the treatment of purification of water/ wastewater and maintains uninterrupted supply of the water and wastewater treatment plants and pump stations through the application of laid down procedures with respect to the monitoring and checking plant performance and system operations and, recording and reporting outcomes in order to ensure optimum water functionality levels are maintained.

REQUIREMENTS:                                   

Qualified Plumber with N3 certificate or equivalent;

 and/or 3 years relevant experience;

Valid code 10 licence with PDP;

Computer Literate (MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint);

Required to work in all weather conditions;

Required to perform standby duties and to work outside normal working hours during emergencies and planned overtime;

Subject to Medical Fitness;

SALARY:                                               R137 004.00 – R177 840.00 per annum

 

DUTIES:                                                

Responsible for minor repairs to water and electricity meters, the restriction and disconnection of services and reconnection and reporting of meter faults.

2 X ARTISAN ASSISTANT: ELECTRICAL

 

REQUIREMENTS:                                   

Qualified Electrician with N3 certificate or equivalent;

2 Years experience;

Must be able to undergo physical evaluation;

Must be able to work standby & overtime.                                                    

SALARY:                                               R137 004.00 – R177 840.00 per annum

 

DUTIES:                                                

Responsible for the construction of minor new works, the laying and maintenance of new or existing mains, secondary lines, minor installations, connections and repair to existing structures and facilities within the electrical reticulation system.
