Beachfront eyesore demolished

The run-down ablution blocks and shell shops near the old J'Bay Skiboat Club were demolished by Kouga Municipality on Friday.

Ward Councillor Hattingh Bornman said the buildings were not only an eyesore but had become a danger to the public's safety.

Mayor Elza van Lingen said there were no immediate plans for the site, but that Council would keep residents abreast of developments.
