Council takes draft budget and IDP to communities

THE Kouga Council is taking the draft budget and reviewed Integrated Development Plan for the 2016/2017 financial year to the public for comment this month.

The draft documents were approved as working documents by the Council on 29 March 2016 and are available for inspection at Kouga Municipal offices and libraries. Both drafts can also be downloaded from the municipal website at www.kouga.gov.za.

Kouga Executive Mayor Daphne Kettledas invited all interested parties to peruse and comment on the documents. Comments can either be given at the community consultation meetings or written inputs can be submitted to the Office of the Municipal Manager.

The community consultation meetings start at 6pm and will take place as follows:

  • 11 April at the Oyster Bay Community Hall for Ward 1
  • 12 April at the Pellsrus Community Hall for Ward 2
  • 13 April at the Newton Hall for Wards 3, 8 and 11
  • 14 April at the Kruisfontein Community Hall for Wards 4 and 5
  • 18 April at the KwaNomzamo Community Hall for Wards 5, 6 and 15
  • 19 April at the Katrien Felix Hall, Thornhill, for Ward 7
  • 20 April at the Loerie Community Hall for Ward 7
  • 21 April at the Vusumzi Landu Hall, Hankey, for Ward 9
  • 25 April at the Sea Vista Community Hall, St Francis, for Ward 12
  • 26 April at the Weston Community Hall for Ward 13
  • 3 May at the Pellsrus Community Hall for Wards 14 and 15
  • 4 May at the Dan Sandi Hall, Patensie, for Ward 10.

Written inputs can be posted to the Office of the Municipal Manager, Kouga Municipality, PO Box 21, Jeffreys Bay, 6330 or emailed to registry@kouga.gov.za. The deadline is 12pm on 4 May 2016.
