Parking attendants help keep J'Bay safe
Twenty parking attendants have been given the go-ahead to work as “car guards” at busy Jeffreys Bay spots this holiday season. The attendants have gone through a vetting process and will be wearing green and yellow bibs, emblazoned with the words “Car Watch”, as well as yellow caps and an identity photo on their chests with their names. Roleplayers in the programme include the municipality, Smhart Security and the Jeffreys Bay SAPS. Showing off the new gear are Elvis Mtoko and Sally Beeton, seen here with Community Services Portfolio Councillor Daniel Benson, Municipal Manager Charl du Plessis, Carl Trahms from Smhart Security, Mayor Elza van Lingen, Safety and Security Chief Randall Prinsloo, law enforcement officers Adam Floors and Johnny Hayward, and Petra Els from the J’Bay SAPS.
