Patensie Water Supply Stoppages

Patensie residents are advised that due to upgrades at the Patensie Water Works there will be possible intermittent water supply stoppages as follows:

• Over the next six weeks, starting from 18 May 2015 to 29 June 2015. Only 50% of the capacity will be delivered during this period.
• Between 08:00 and 17:00 on Tuesday, 17 June 2015, due to multiple valve replacements in the main reservoir at the Patensie Water Works.

Residents are requested to use water sparingly over this period.
 
In order to avoid dirty water and air locks in the system, residents are advised not to use the water in the pipes during the shutdown, if any, and to run the garden tap nearest their water meters to ensure that the water is clear before using the taps in their houses.
 
Measures are also in place to provide water to affected areas in the event there is no supply.
