According to Kouga Executive Mayor, Horatio Hendricks, the event will be of great economic value to the area as it will bring visitors to Jeffreys Bay – giving a much-needed boost to tourism and tourism establishments.

“It has been a tough year for the local tourism industry with events being severely impacted by COVID-19 regulations,” he said.

Kouga Municipality, together with a team of locals headed up by businesswoman Cheron Kraak, have transformed the gardens of Point and Lower Point to create a warm welcome for visitors from around the country.

“The municipality and local residents have worked together tirelessly to beautify this high-traffic area,” said Kraak. “It is looking gorgeous.”
