MUNICIPALITY THROWS WEIGHT BEHIND R5 TICKET BOOKS

20 July 2021
Kouga Municipality has recently joined hands with One Village, a non-profit organisation founded by Sonya Hofler and Evelyn Markides in Jeffreys Bay, in a bid to help empower less fortunate residents. As part of their Mandela Day campaign, the municipality purchased 67 R5 Ticket Books to assist those in need. Each booklet contains 20 tickets valued at R5 each, which recipients can redeem at the One Village Shop in Jeffreys Street – either for a meal or a previously loved item. Kouga Executive Mayor, Horatio Hendricks (middle) received his booklet from Markides (left) and Hofler (right) at the organisation’s food garden in Jeffreys Bay.
