10 (TEN) POSITIONS AT THE NELSON MANDELA BAY TRAFFIC TRAINING COLLEGE
Kouga, the Jewel of the Eastern Cape, strives to ensure equity, harmony and prosperity for all it’s people, through people centered service delivery and sustainable development is inviting people that wishes to enrol to become a Traffic Officer, to apply for 10 training opportunities at the Nelson Mandela Traffic College in Port Elizabeth.
Requirements:
· Applicants must be in possession of a Grade 12 Certificate.
· Applicants must be in possession of a valid EB (code 8) driving license.
· Have a clean criminal record. A Clearance certificate from the S.A. Police Service must be submitted at own cost.
· Applicants must be older than 18 years and not older than 35 years.
· Applicants should be physically healthy and fit with a sound medical certificate, as students must undergo strenuous physical training. Please supply a medical certificate to this effect at own cost.
Course Fees
The Traffic Officer Course Fee is R14, 000 excluding uniform, accommodation and travelling. The cost of the uniform is in the region R4, 300.
General Conditions
Ø Kouga Municipality only facilitate the training arrangements and will provide practical experience for these individuals as required.
Ø Kouga reserves the right not to provide employment after completion of this qualification.
Ø Applicants must be a permanent resident of the Kouga Municipal demarcated area.
Ø The course fees, uniform, accommodation and travelling is the responsibility the applicant.
Ø Applicants must avail themselves for an evaluation test before the classes commence.
Ø Classes start on 1 July 2012 and no late coming will be allowed.

Sealed application forms marked “Traffic Officer Trainingâ€, must reach the Strategic Services Directorate at the Municipal Offices, ABSA Building, Da Gama Road, on or before Friday 15 June 2012 at 12:00.
