Public meetings on draft budget and draft IDP

KOUGA residents are invited to participate in the finalisation of the municipality’s budget for 2012/2013 and the new five-year Integrated Development Plan (IDP) for 2012 to 2017.

Public meetings will be held for all 15 wards to allow the public to interact with the municipality’s political and administrative leadership around the draft budget and draft IDP, which were approved by Council on March 28.

 The schedule of meetings, all starting at 6pm, is as follows:

·         10 April: Sea Vista Community Hall (Ward 12) and Thornhill Community Hall (Ward 7)

·         11 April: Newton Hall (Wards 3, 8 and 11) and Loerie Community Hall (Ward 7)

·         12 April: Kruisfontein Civic Centre (Wards 4 and 5) and Dan Sandhi Community Hall (Ward 10)

·         16 April: Pellsrus Community Hall (Ward 2) and Weston Community Hall (Ward 13)

·         17 April: Tokyo Sexwale Sportsfield (Ward 15) and Vusumzi Landu Hall (Ward 9)

·         18 April: Lungiso School Hall (Ward 6)

·         19 April: Tokyo Sexwale Sportsfield (Ward 14)

The draft budget and draft IDP will be available for inspection during office hours at municipal offices, ward councillor’s offices and libraries from April 4. All interested parties are invited to peruse and comment on the documents. Inputs much reach the Office of the Municipal Manager by no later than May 5, 2012.
