THE finals of the 2014 Kouga Mayor’s Cup Ruby Tournament is set to be replayed after the clash between Jeffreys Bay United and the United Barbarians of Patensie ended in a stalemate on Saturday.
In a thrilling game at the Humansdorp Country Club the teams provided top-notch entertainment for fans, with neither team allowing the other to get the better of them.
At full-time the score was 8-8. An additional 20 minutes were played but still no winner could be decided as the score stood at 11-11.
After extensive consultation with both rugby clubs, the call was made to schedule a rematch. The date will be announced.
