Road closures after more heavy rain

SEVERAL roads in Kouga are still closed after heavy rain during the first week of July.

In Jeffreys Bay Uys Street at the J-Bay Caravan Park, Cormorant and Dolphin Streets in Aston Bay, the Apiesdraai section of the Aston Bay road, and Johan Muller Boulevard and Kiewiet Street in Paradise Beach remain closed to vehicles.

The gravel road from Paradise Beach to the R102 is closed along the section where it passes the Lombardini Game Reserve.

All three the roads leading to Oyster Bay are open to 4x4s only - the St Francis Bay road to Oyster Bay, the Humansdorp road to Oyster Bay and the Kerstandjie road to Oyster Bay. Drivers are asked to be careful where the St Francis and Humansdorp roads towards Oyster Bay meet as a section of the road has washed away.
