Switch off for Earth Hour
KOUGA residents are encouraged to turn their passion for the planet into action this March.
Kouga Executive Mayor Booi Koerat has joined leaders from across the globe in inviting their communities to take part in Earth Hour on Saturday, March 23.
“It is easy to become involved and help to create awareness of the need for sustainable development,” the Mayor said. “All you have to do, is switch off all electrical lights in your house or business from 8:30pm to 9:30pm on Saturday, March 23.”
Millions of people, living in more than 150 countries, are expected to take part in the 2013 campaign. More info at earthhour.org.
