REQUEST FOR QUOTATIONS: Installation and Supply of EnviroRack MK IV

Service providers are hereby invited to submit quotations for a 38u Double Unit Observer Rack for the IT Department’s Server Room.

The Specifications for the Rack are the following:

1. 38U Cabinet

· Cabinet 38U by 1000mm

· 100mm Plinth Assembly

· Glass Recessed Front Doors

· 6 – Way Power Array’s and Electrical wiring

· 450mm Cooling Plant(s) Locker(s)

· Flat 100kg shelves (To House UPS)

· Cabinet Lights Front (operator with digital maglock)

· Cabinet Lights Rear (operator with digital maglock)

· 15000BTU Cooling Plant – including Internal Fan Assembly

2. EnviroRAMM System Controller

· System Controller Flush mounted touch screen

· System Access and Security System

· Cooling Plant Reporting System

· Fire Control and Alarm System

· Enviroonviromental Monitoring Control and Alarm System

· On-board System Log Sub-System

· GSM and IP Enable

· Manual key switch override

· Magnetic Locks

· Magnetic Lock bracket

· Fire propellant Generator unit FM200

· Delivery And Onsite Installation

Quotations in a sealed envelope endorsed “Notice No. 71/2010:Quotations-38u Double Unit Observer Rack” must be placed in the Tender Box inside the Supply Chain Office, St Croix Street, Jeffreys Bay by Friday, 28 May 2010 at 12:00.

Tenderers must submit an original SARS Tax Clearance Certificate with their tender proposal in order to be considered.

Telegraphic, telephonic, telex, facsimile, email or late quotations will not be accepted. Service Providers already registered on the Municipal Supplier Database need not submit a Tax Clearance Certificate with their quotation, on condition that their registration on the database is current, valid and up to date.

The Council reserves the right to accept any quotation, or part thereof, appoint more than one contractor and does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any quotation. Council reserves the right not to appoint any contractor.

The validity period for the submission of tenders must be 90 days from the closing date.

Closing date for submissions is Friday, 28 May 2010.
