PUBLIC PARTICIPATION MEETING ABOUT THE DRAFT SITUATION ASSESSMENT REPORT FOR THE PROPOSED ESTUARINE MANAGEMENT PLAN FOR THE SEEKOEI ESTUARY
The Institute for Coastal and Marine Resources (CMR), Nelson Mandela University, on behalf of the Kouga Municipality, would like to take this opportunity to inform the public that in accordance with the National Environmental Management Act (NEMA), the Draft Situation Assessment (DSA) Report for the proposed Estuarine Management Plan for the Seekoei Estuary in the Kouga Municipality within the Eastern Cape Province has been drafted.
In order to take into consideration the issues/concerns of stakeholders, the first public participation meeting for interested and affected parties is being called.
The DSA Report will be presented and discussed at a public meeting on 9 October 2017 at the NG Kerk Hall, Paradise Beach at 18:30.
The report will be made available for download by the end of September 2017 from the CMR website: http://cmr.mandela.ac.za/Consulting and click on the Seekoei Estuary link to download or via request.
