PUBLIC INVITATION FOR BIDDERS TO TENDER FOR VACANT MUNICIPAL ERVEN WITHIN THE KOUGA MUNICIPAL AREA
Notice is hereby given that tenders are invited for the disposal of vacant municipal properties in the Kouga area as listed in the tender document 225/2010.
Tender documents will be available for collection from Friday, 3 December 2010 at the Jeffreys Bay Unit of the Kouga Municipality, 33 Da Gama Road, Jeffreys Bay during office hours, Mondays to Thursdays from 07:30 to 13:00 and from 13:30to 16:15 and on Fridays from 07:30 to 13:00 and from 13:30 to15:00.
Closing date and time:
All tenders should be submitted before 12:00 on Friday, 11 January 2011 in sealed envelopes, marked NOTICE 225/2010 - TENDER FOR MUNICIPAL ERF, addressed to the Municipal Manager and deposited in the tender box situated at the entrance of the Jeffreys Bay Unit in Da Gama Road.
It should be noted that the Kouga Municipality is under no obligation to accept the highest tender and only tenders equal or higher than the market value will be considered. The Council also reserves the right to withdraw any property proposed for disposal.
Tenderers should familiarize themselves with the conditions as set out in the tender document.
Tenders will be adjudicated in terms of the Policy of the Council for the Disposal of Immovable Equitable Assets and Supply Chain Management Policy. Interested bidders are invited to attend the opening of the tenders immediately after the closing date and time. Adjudication will take place later.

Kennis geskied hiermee dat tenders vir die vervreemding van onbeboude munisipale erwe ingewag word soos uiteengesit in die tender dokument 225/2010.
Sluitingsdatum en tyd:
Tenderdokumente moet voor 12:00 op Vrydag, 11 Januarie 2011, in ’n verseëlde koevert, gemerk KENNISGEWINGNOMMER 225/2010 : TENDER VIR MUNISIPALE ERF, ge-adresseer aan die Munisipale Bestuurder, in die tenderbus by die ingang van die Jeffreysbaai-Eenheid te Da Gamaweg geplaas word.
Neem asb kennis dat die Kouga Munisipaliteit onder geen verpligting is om die hoogste tender te aanvaar nie en slegs tenders gelykstaande of hoër as die markwaarde sal oorweeg word. Die Raad behou ook die reg voor om enige erf vir vervreemding sonder verdere kennisgewing te onttrek.
Tenderaars moet hulself vergewis van die voorwaardes soos vervat in die tenderdokument.
Tenders sal beoordeel word volgens die Raad se beleid ten opsigte van die Vrvreemding van Vaste Bates en Voorsieningskettingbestuursbeleid. Tenderaars word genooi om die oopmaak van die tenders by te woon onmiddellik na die sluitingsdatum en tyd. Beoordeling sal later plaasvind.
