QUOTES FOR THE HIRING OF PORTABLE POLYESTHELENE VIP CHEMICAL TOILETS
Quotations are hereby invited from prospective Service Providers for the HIRING OF CHEMICAL TOILETS
SCOPE OF WORKS/ SPECIFICATIONS
1. Polyethelene portable toilets for male and female use in the residential environment.
2. Must be robust for above ground use
3. No flushing for above ground usage
4. Single Seated with seating arrangements including cover.
5. Lockable door(front inside)
6. Dimensions 6.1: Height 2.2m Max
6.2: Weight 1.2m x 1.2m
7. Set of portable drums 130l PVC sealable for transportation purpose to fit on BOD flat Trucks LDV’s
8. Handles for easy shifting if needed.
9. Door at the back to accommodate drum
10. Chimney
11. Material: PVC(Compliance to DME Regulations)
12. Portable Units to be placed out and moved as required from time to time.
13. Toilet units to be serviced at least twice a week.
14. Broken units must be repaired and replaced within 24 hours.
15. Material data Sheet must be provided to the Department: Cleansing& Parks
On the Chemical materials to be used in the cleansing of units
16. The contractor to provide his/her own staff for the cleansing and upkeep of
Toilet units.
17. The disposal of Night soil must be at the nearest waste water works of Council and no other facility must be used.
18. The cleansing of drums or emptying of drums within the residential areas where units are provided will not be tolerated and such practices or behavior may result in termination of the contract.
19. A penalty will be imposed based on the decision of Council in the event
Of non-adherence to 18 above or termination of contract based on the severity of the offence.

PLEASE NOTE
Telegraphic, telephonic, telex, facsimline, e-mail or late quotations will not be accepted.
Prospective service providers must submit an Original and valid Tax Clearance Certificate with their quotation and be prepared to register on the Kouga Municipality’s Supplier database.
Service providers already registered on the Kouga Municipality’s Supplier database need not to submit a Tax Clearance Certificate with their quotation, on condition that their registration on the database is current, valid and up to date.
The Council reserves the right to accept any quotation, or part thereof, appoint more than one contractor, and does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any quotation.
Council also reserves the right not to appoint any contractor.
Sealed quotations, endorsed with NOTICE NO. 55/2010:RFQ HIRING OF VIP CHEMICAL TOILETS, must be placed in the tender box inside the Supply Chain Office at the Kouga Municipality Stores at St. Croix Street, JEFFREY’S BAY.
The closing date for submission is Thursday, 29 April 2010 at 12:00.
