NOTICE NO.: 106/2010

Quotations are herewith invited from Service Providers to supply the Kouga Local Municipality with the following, as specified :

SAMRAS Classic Server (Linux):

Proposed configuration :

• DELL Power Edge T710 Rack Mount Server
• 2 x Intel Xeon X5660 2.8GHz 6 Core CPU’s (12Mb Cache)
• 8Gb Memory
• 8 x 250Gb SATA Disk Drives (RAID 6)
• 16X DVD ROM Drive
• 400/800Gb LT03 Tape Drive
• 10 X Tape Cartridges
• Redundant Power Supply
• Rack Rails with Cable Management
• 5 Year Next Business Day Warranty

The quotation should include the following:

• Loading and Configuration of SAMRAS Classic and LINUX;
• Creation of Users and Printers as on existing SAMRAS Classic Server;
• Transfer of data from existing SAMRAS Classic Server;
• Configuration of existing SAMRAS Classic Server as the disaster recovery machine.

Please note:

·         Telegraphic, telephonic, telex, facsimile, email or late quotations will not be accepted.

·         Prospective service providers must submit an original SARS Tax Clearance Certificate with their quotation and be prepared to register on Kouga Municipality’s Supplier Database in order to be considered.

·         Service Providers already registered on the Municipal Supplier Database need not submit a Tax Clearance Certificate with their quotation, on condition that their registration on the database is current, valid and up to date.

Quotations in a sealed envelope endorsed “Notice No.106/2010: “SAMRAS CLASSIC SERVER (LINUX)” , must be placed in the Tender Box  in the foyer of the Municipal Offices in Da Gama Road, Jeffreys Bay by MONDAY,  21 JUNE 2010 at 12:00.
