NOTICE NO.: 26 / 2010

SUPPLY AND MAINTENANCE OF PORTABLE AND COMPATIBLE SOFTWARE FOR TCS TRAFFIC CONTRAVENTION SYTEM

Kouga Municipality hereby invites tenders for the above mentioned product.  The tender will include the supply and maintenance of all materials as well as required equipment and software.

Tender documents may be obtained from the Archives Department of the Municipal Offices at 33 Da Gama Road, Jeffreys Bay as from 14 June 2010 at a non-refundable deposit of R 100-00 per document.

 Tenders must be enclosed in a sealed envelope, clearly marked “NOTICE NO. 26/2010: KOUGA MUNICIPALITY: TENDER FOR THE SUPPLY  AND DELIVERY OF PORTABLE AND COMPATIBLE SOFTWARE FOR TCS TRAFFIC CONTRAVENTION SYSTEM” must be placed in the tender box 28 June 2010. Tenders will be opened at 12h05, on the same day in the foyer of the Council Chambers, Municipal Offices, Jeffreys Bay. 

Tenderers should take note of the following tender conditions:

1.      Failure to complete all supplementary / requested information will result in the tender being deemed null and void.

2.      The Supply Chain Management Policy of the Kouga Municipality will apply, which is attached under Annexure B of the document.  This tender/bid will be evaluated in terms of the 80/20 preference point scoring system namely:

·      HDI             -   12 points

·      Woman    -   4points

·      Disabled   -   4 points

·      Price          -   80 points

3.      Tenderers must submit an original valid SARS Tax Clearance Certificate with their tender in order to be considered.

4.      Tenderers must also submit a valid BEE certificate with their tender in order to be considered.  To apply for such a certificate BEE BIZ can be contacted at Tel. No. 041 581 3031.

5.      Telegraphic, telephonic, telex, facsimile, e-mail and late tenders will not be accepted.

6.      Tenders may only be submitted on the tender documentation that is issued.

7.      The validity period of the tenders must be 8 weeks from the closing date.

8.      The Municipality reserves the right not to accept the lowest or any tender and no reasons for the acceptance or rejection of any tender will be furnished.
