VACANT POSITION: CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

Remuneration:         Chief Financial Officer Total remuneration package: R780, 000    per annum.

A performance bonus of up to 14% (as regulated by the applicable legislation) and an annual salary increase according to the South African Local Government Bargaining Council (SALGBC).

Qualifications:         At least a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics or an NQF level 6 Certificate in Municipal Financial Management.

                                    A code EB Drivers License is compulsory.

Work Experience:    A minimum of 5 years experience in the financial discipline is essential at management level.

In addition to the financial management competency levels as set out in Government Gazette No. R493 of 15 June 2007 a person to be appointed as a senior manager responsible for treasury functions (Chief Financial Officer) must have the following competences, qualifications, skills and expertise as set out hereunder:

Functional                 Strategic Financial Management

Competencies:       Operational Financial Management

Governance, ethics, and values in financial management.

Financial and performance reporting

Risk and change Management

Supply Chain Management

Audit and Assurance.
