WATER
RESTRICTIONS HANKEY / PATENSIE
Notice is
hereby given that water restrictions are herewith imposed in view of essential
maintenance and repairs by the Gamtoos Irrigation Board.
This
restriction will take effect from:
Friday
31 May 2013 at 08:00 until 17 June 2013 at 08:00.
The following activities are
herewith prohibited for the duration of the restrictions:
§ Watering of
gardens, lawns, grassed areas.
§ Washing of
paved areas, walls, roofs, buildings, and similar structures, vehicles or other
equipment.
§ Filling of
swimming, paddling pools, fountains and ponds.
§ The use of
hosepipes, sprinklers and drip systems.
§ The
connection of a hosepipe or any form or irrigation system to a tape supplying
water from the Municipality’s water supply system, except for fire fighting
purposes.
The
contravention of this prohibition constitutes a criminal offence and offenders
will be liable for a fine.
PLEASE NOTE
Although we
endeavour to have water for domestic consumption available at all times, there
may at times be no water and consumers are advised to make provision for
emergencies.
