SUPPLY, INSTALLATION AND MANAGEMENT OF A PRE-PAYMENT ELECTRICITY VENDING SYSTEM: SPECIFICATION NO:G/4821
Tenders are invited for a new STS compliant Pre-Payment Meter Electricity Vending System to serve some 11 000 meters at Kouga Municipality. The contract includes supply, installation and commissioning of all hardware and software to meet the new vending requirements, as well as a Vendor Management and Data Management and Revenue Protection Service.
A compulsory clarification meeting will be held on Monday, 22 November 2010 at 11:00, commencing at the entrance of the Municipal Offices in Jeffreys Bay. An attendance register list will be circulated and any contractor that submits a tender without having attended the meeting, will not be considered.

Tenders
Tender documents will be available as from 15 November 2010 from the Archives Department , 33 Da Gama Road , Jeffreys Bay , Tel No 042 2002 200 at a non- refundable fee of R200.00 per document.
Please note:
· The evaluation criteria will be set out in the tender document.
· Tenderers must be certified as an ISO9001 company.
· Telegraphic, telephonic, telex, facsimile, email or late tenders will not be accepted.
· Prospective service providers must submit a valid original SARS Tax Clearance Certificate with their tender in order to be considered.
· In order to claim Preference points a valid BEE certificate from an ABVA registered member must be submitted to validate the claim. Kindly take note that if no BEE certificate is submitted, no points can be claimed.
· Prospective Service Providers must be prepared to register on the Kouga Municipality’s Supplier Database as per requirements of registration.
· The Council reserves the right to accept any bids and, or part thereof, appoint more than one contractor, and does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender. The Council also reserves the right to appoint any Contractor.
· The validity period for submission must be 90 days from the closing date.
· It is the Service Provider’s responsibility to ensure that their tenders are deposited in the correct tender box. No tenders delivered at any other venue or tender box than the one mentioned, will be considered.

Tenders in a sealed envelope endorsed “NOTICE NO 210/2010: “TENDER FOR SUPPLY , INSTALLATION AND MANAGEMENT OF A PRE-PAYMENT ELECTRICITY VENDING SYSTEM†must be placed in the Tender Box in the foyer of the Municipal Offices at 33 Da Gama Road, Jeffreys Bay, on Monday, 13 December 2010 at 12:00.
