Supply, Delivery And Installation Of A Weighbridge: Humansdorp Landfill Site
Tenders are invited from prospective and suitable service providers for the Supply, deliver and installation of a Weighbridge at the Humansdorp Landfill Site.
The Landfill Site is situated adjacent to the industrial area in a northerly direction and form part of Erf 499.
Requirements.
- The weighbridge should be able to handle a weight of 60 tonnes, be above ground and have a deck plan size of 18meter long X 3meter wide.
- It should have the ability to provide an overall gross and net tare weights via an appropriate software package.
- The tenderer should also provide, deliver and install a suitable computer and printer equipment for the recording of the required information, printing and with all relevant software programs, fittings and accessories. The software should be Microsoft compatible.
- The software should include software programmes that will enable it to register first and second nett weight and provide registration as well as product description on a tally roll printer.
- All suitable and compatible constant voltage transformer/s, UPS equipment including the lightning protection for all associated electronic equipment, should be supplied and installed.
- The weighbridge civil design drawings should be based on 150 kpa and must be pit less above ground with two ramps with a height of 320 mm
- All relevant weighbridge detail installation drawings should be prepared by a Qualified Engineer/s to enable concrete design and construction for suitable concrete construction of the reinforced concrete foundation structures.
- All relevant detailed installation drawings to enable concrete design and construction should be prepared and submitted by a Qualified Engineer of the control room which must be positioned adjacent to the weighbridge in the access road.
- The Tender should also include warranty and service plan (Calibration included)
NB: The upgrading and utilization of the current building at the entrance to the site should form part of the construction of the Control Room.
- Relevant cabling associated with the weighbridge installation should be installed in the Control Room where the computer and printer equipment for the required recording, printing and loading of the information will be housed.
- A relevant and accredited certification shall be issued which will allow for all commissioning and associated testing of the installation.
- All relevant copies and manuals necessary for the effective operation of the installation shall be provided.
- The tenderer should also allow for a comprehensive onsite training program of the relevant staff and such training should form part of the total Tender.
- Bidders may provide financing options in relation to the installation of the weighbridge as well as terms of payment.
- Suitable dates for delivery, installation and completion of the work should be included in the submission.
- All work to be executed shall be in line with the SABS regulation and will be subjected to SABS verification and Testing.
Tender Documentation
Tender documents will be available from registry office 33 Da Gama Road Jeffreys Bay at a non refundable cost of R100 per document and bidders are expected to supply complete detail and specifications of the equipment.
Completed tender documents with detailed specification where necessary in sealed envelopes, must be deposited in the Tender Box of the Kouga Municipality at 33 Da Gama Road, Jeffreys Bay and should be clearly marked “Contract No: 4/2010 : “Supply, Delivery and Installation of a Weighbridge at the Humansdorp Landfill Site.†not later than 12:00 on Friday 5 March 2010, after which the tenders will be opened in public.
Please note that a site meeting will beheld on 19 February 2010 at the Traffic Building, Heugh Street Humansdorp. A compulsory attendance register must be signed at the meeting. Prospective tenderers who do not attend the meeting will be automatically disqualified
Tenderers should take note of the following tender conditions:
- An original and valid Tax Clearance Certificate must accompany the tender.
- Tenderers must submit a valid BEE certificate and can contact 041-581 3031 to arrange for a certificate.
- Bidders may suggest or provide financing options in relation to the erection and installation of the fencing and gate.
- The tenders are valid for a period of three (3) months from the closing date.
- The Procurement Policy and Supply Chain Management Policy of the Kouga Municipality will apply. This tender will be evaluated in terms of the 90/10 preference point scoring system namely:
- Prospective Tenderers must provide CE3 CIDB grading.

Price 90% of 90 points = 90 points
