VACANCY

2 X AREA CIVIL ENGINEER
REQUIREMENTS:
B Tech in Civil Engineering or relevant NQF 7 qualification;
Computer Literacy with advanced MS office
Driver’s Licence code 08 with own transport;
At least 5 years Relevant experience;
Must also have strong supervisory experience.
DUTIES:
Ensuring that the service delivery System is efficiently operated by checking that blockages and all other problems are promptly attended to and that all complaints are formally investigated, reported, and resolved;
Ensure that the performance of each treatment facility is in accordance with permit standards determined by the Department of Water Affairs and Forestry;
Initiate, co-ordinate and supervise technical investigations into process performance and improvement by delegating tasks to staff and/or outsourcing tasks to specialist consultants;
Supply a primary essential service to residents through reticulation networks, pump stations major treatment works, by authorising requisitions, procurement of goods and services, ensuring staff discipline and minimum service levels are met;
Manage the system in order to ensure compliance with the Water Act, Municipal System Act, By Laws, Department of Water Affairs and Forestry and other relevant legislation;
Assisting with other related municipal infrastructure projects and queries.
SALARY: R501 776.14 – R634 350.87 per annum (TCTC excluding Perk Scheme Car Allowance).
