2 x AREA CIVIL ENGINEERS
REQUIREMENTS: Grade 12;
National Diploma in Civil Engineering;
Computer Literacy;
Driver’s Licence Code 08 with own transport;
At least three years experience in a supervisory position in the Civil Engineering environment;
Code 08:
PERFORMANCE AREAS: Technical support and evaluation of proposed projects in alignment with the Municipal IDP’s and Capital programme;
Monitoring and co-ordinating monthly project progress forms and payment certificates;
Arranging and attending regular project progress meetings;
Ensuring compliance with all legal aspects and conditions
required from the different spheres of Government in the
implementation of infrastructure projects;
Conducting site visits/meetings to ensure compliance with project registration criteria;
Managing cash flows and committed project expenditure;
Verifying payment certificates and preparing monthly payment schedule documentation;
Maintaining project performance data on a national database; Assisting with other related municipal infrastructure programmes;
Handle and ensure that all relevant departmental related correspondence is managed efficiently and effectively;
Conduct departmental inspections and complaints to ensure compliance with or variations with issued work orders;
Prepare departmental works programmes in line with SDBIP.
Compiling and submit monthly progress reports to the Manager Technical Services;
Attend departmental coordinating meetings;
Preparing progress reports to present at coordinating meetings;
Daily monitoring and control of operations of section;
Manage and control overtime and standby;
Assisting the Manager: Technical Services in identifying
projects suitable for labour intensive construction
methods for implementation in terms of the EPWP guidelines;
Manage and control overtime and standby;
Responsible for managing the Workplace skills Audit and Workplace Skills Plan functions as per legislation.
POST LEVEL: 3
SALARY: R287 256.00 – R301 896.00
