VACANCY

DIRECTOR ADMINISTRATION, MONITORING AND EVALUATION

5 YEAR PERFORMANCE BASED CONTRACT

Functional competencies:           

• Legal services, an ability to develop policies and systems that ensure the municipality complies with corporate governance principles, provide legal advice to and represent council, management and staff litigation cases.
• Human Capital Management.
• Health and Safety.
• Leadership, in terms of taking prompt decisions, plan, evaluate and manage conflicts.
• Employee champion, in so far as an ability to develop employee relationships and promote diversity.
• Technical expertise in so far as it relates to development of human resources law and policies and knowledge of information technology.
• Client Services.
• Ethics and Values.
• Change management.
• Risk assessment and management.
• Budget management for the department.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Relevant B Degree in Public Administration, Legal Degree or Management Science in the above fields will be an added advantage.

Work experience

• A minimum of 5 years appropriate experience in Senior Management of Local Government, particularity in the abovementioned fields, is required.

Remuneration

• Total remuneration package: R780,000 per annum.
• The successful candidate will be appointed on a five-year fixed performance contract.
