 VACANCY

ELECTRICIAN: JEFFREYS BAY

REQUIREMENTS:  Grade 12; Qualified Electrician with N2 certificate plus Trade Test Certificate; 2 Year’s experience; Code C1 Drivers License

POST LEVEL & SALARY                      Post Level 8 (R 165, 084. 00 p.a)                                             

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:         

Setting out of cable route, supervision of worker and physical doing L.V. single phase and three phase domestic connection, which include the installing of electrical meter etc.

Disconnections and re-connections of electricity to consumers L.V.

Street light repairs when necessary.

Installing larger or smaller tariff circuit breakers as necessary.

Supervise and assist with the laying of electrical cables during upgrading works.

L.V cable jointing when necessary.

Do special meter reading when required.

Carrying out of routine electrical maintenance on distribution kiosk, substation, overhead lines, water and sewerage pump station as well as the upkeep of sub-station yard and Council buildings i.e. repair broken lights etc.

Do small L.V. fault locations and repairs.

Transport electrical worker to and from place of work when necessary.

 Execution of any other instruction given by your Supervisor, Senior Electrical or the Area Engineer.
