FINANCE INTERNSHIP PROGRAME FOR THE FOLLOWING SECTIONS:

1. Supply Chain and Stores
2. Expenditure and Creditors
3. Budget and Treasury Office
4. Income/Revenue

REQUIREMENTS:

• Relevant NQF Level 6 or 7 qualification in finance related field with majors in Accounting, Financial Management, Public Finance, Economics, Risk Management and/or Auditing;
• Ability to function independently, as well as within a team;
• Ability to function effectively under pressure and to apply time management principles;
• Attention to detail;
• Good communication skills;
• Computer skills (excel and other programs);
• Must be assertive and have attention to detail;
• Must be able to speak, read and write in at least two of the official languages in Kouga Municipality (Afrikaans, English, and Xhosa).

SPECIAL CONDITIONS:                     Nil

SALARY:                                           R  R120 000.00 Per Annum                                  

THE INTERNS WILL BE TRAINED AND BE EXPOSED ON THE FOLLOWING AREAS:

• Knowledge of public sector procurement, MFMA 56 of 2003 and relevant legislation;
• Best Practice and Treasury Regulations;
• On negotiation, planning and organizing skills;
• Performance monitoring;
• Advanced report writing and analytical skills;
• Municipal Finance Management Program (MFMP);
