VACANCY

Kouga Municipality, an equal opportunity employer which subscribes to the principle of affirmative action, awaits applications from Candidates for appointment in the following vacancy:

SENIOR ACCOUNTANT: BUDGET AND TREASURY

REQUIREMENTS: B.Com (Accounting 3 and Auditing 3) or equivalent qualification;

4 years in a financial environment specializing in financial accounting, budgeting and administration;

Extensive knowledge on the municipal environment in relation to financial statement, budgeting and financial reporting;

Ability to provide strategic and innovative leadership;

Ability to perform under pressure;

Maintain a high standard of ethics and integrity;

Excellent organizational , facilitation, presentation and interpersonal skills

Computer literate e.g. Ms Word and Excel compulsory;

Valid code 08 drivers license will be advantageous.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Support and compliance with all applicable financial management procedures, policies and legislation;

Assist in compilation of annual financial statements and audit queries;

Assist in the preparation and execution of the budget and budget processes;

Perform accounting equation entries, recording, analyzing and reconciling entries in relation to the books of entry;

Perform risk management and compliance duties;

All other related financial management duties as may be determined from time to time.

POST LEVEL: 4

SALARY: R192 900.00 – R207 708.00

13^th Bonus cheque;

24 Days leave per annum;

80 Days sick leave in a three year cycle.
