VACANCY
Kouga Municipality, an equal opportunity employer, which subscribes to the principles of affirmative action, awaits applications for appointment in the following vacancies:
DIRECTORATE INFRASTRUCTURE
SENIOR BUILDING INSPECTOR: (2 POSITIONS)
REQUIREMENTS: Qualified Artisan or relevant qualification in the building control field;
3 Years’ experience in the environment of building inspections;
A formal tertiary qualification in project management shall be an added advantage;
Valid driver’s license;
Must provide a vehicle for the execution of duties;
Must be able to speak two of the official languages in Kouga (Afrikaans, English, and Xhosa).
SALARY: R215 016 per year.
DUTIES: To ensure that buildings are erected according to the approved building plan, that the National Building Regulations are complied with and that a reasonable standard of building construction workmanship is maintained on building sites and coordinates activities within the Building Inspectorate.
