INVITATION FOR FUNDING (GRANT) PROPOSALS FOR CAPITAL DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS LINKED TO INFRASTRUCTURE, SOCIAL AND LOCAL ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS
Kouga Municipality invites suitably qualified service provider(s) to submit proposals on sourcing funds/finance for infrastructure, social and local economic development programs aligned to its key performance areas and/or Local Government Strategic Agenda.
Background
Kouga Municipality has, through its Integrated Development Plan (IDP) and in particular based on its Spatial Development Framework (SDF), identified numerous infrastructure, social and economic development programs that in nature, character and content consist of capital development projects for which the municipality has no funding.
In line with its Local Government Strategic Agenda, the Kouga Municipality therefore invites suitably qualified service provider(s) to submit proposals, packaged under sourcing of funds, in order to assist the Municipality to undertake and implement capital development projects linked to infrastructure, social and local economic development programs.
In accordance with the Supply Chain Management Policy of Kouga Municipality the preferred or appointed service provider(s) shall be required to submit these proposals to government agencies, parastatals, private sector organizations as well as local and international donor organizations on behalf of the Kouga Municipality.
A brief description of the needs for infrastructure, social and local economic development programs that in nature, character and contents consist of capital development projects will be available on our website (www.kouga.gov.za) and at all municipal offices in Kouga as a document named: Proposal on sourcing grant funds/finance for the implementation of infrastructure, social and local economic development programs.
A compulsory briefing session will be held on Thursday, 26 January 2012, at 10:00 at the Kouga Council Chambers at 33 Da Gama Road, Jeffreys Bay.
Proposals, in sealed envelopes clearly marked “Funding (Grant) Proposals for Infrastructure, Social and Local Economic Development Programsâ€, must be placed in the tender box of the Kouga Municipality at 33 Da Gama Road, Jeffreys Bay, by no later than 12:00 on Friday, 17 February 2012.
