VACANCY

INTERNAL AUDITOR
REQUIREMENTS:
- B. Comm Degree with Accounting or Auditing as majors or
- B. Tech Internal Auditing;
- Above average proficiency in MS Office programmes;
- In depth knowledge of local government is essential;
- At least 4 year’s relevant experience in an Internal Auditing or Risk environment;
- Registration with IIA or IRMSA will be an added advantage;
- Completed Auditing articles will be highly advantageous;
- Relevant MSCOA knowledge;
- Attention to detail;
- Self-starter and ability to work independently;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills;
- Problem identification and solution skills;
- Must have experience in supervision of subordinates;
- Must maintain confidentiality;
- Ability to handle conflict;
- Fluent in at least 2 of the 3 official languages used in Kouga
SALARY: R310 560.00 – R403 128.00
TASK: 12
DUTIES:
- Responsible and accountable for leading, conducting and reporting on scheduled audits and ensuring that audit work conforms to relevant standards;
- To lead, conduct, and control audit activities on assigned projects;
- To meet project objectives to ensure value added risk assurance services to the Municipality;
- Develop, execute and review work programs;
- Evaluate results of the audit and report thereon to ensure that findings and recommendations are supported by documented evidence and reported correctly;
- Direct and control audit activities economically, efficiently and effectively to maximize quality of outputs;
- Supervise team members to ensure resources are effectively and efficiently employed to maximize performance output;
- Supervise Audit projects and co-ordinate work with other Auditors;
- Drafting of internal audit reports for discussion with management;
- Undertaking special investigations as may be determined by relevant committees;
- Facilitate Strategic and\or Operational Risk assessments for the municipality;
