VACANCY

MANAGER: ADMINISTRATION
REQUIREMENTS:
- B. Degree or equivalent relevant qualification in management and administration;
- At least five (5) years relevant experience in 2 years of which must have been in a managerial capacity;
- Knowledge of The Municipal Systems Act, The National Archives Act, SCM Regulations and other applicable legislation;
- Computer literacy (MS Office applications);
- Proficiency in at least 2 of the 3 official languages of Kouga (read, write and speak);
- Good management, human relations, interpersonal and communication skills;
- Analytical skills;
- Good report writing skills;
- High level of responsibility and confidentiality;
- Attention to detail;
- Knowledge administrative services and processes;
- Excellent presentation and project management skills;
- Ability to deal with conflict situations;
- Willingness to work after normal office hours, and during emergencies;
- Valid drivers license.

SALARY: R648 642.90 – R822 610.44 (TCTC excluding vehicle Allowance)
TASK GRADE: 15
DUTIES:
- Manages the key performance areas and result indicators associated with the Administration Section;
- Undertaking special projects for the Municipal Manager and Directors including studies and chairing task teams as required;
- Researches, develops and participates in the conceptualisation and implementation of strategic and short term plans associated with the Corporate Administrative functionality of the Municipality and other institutional projects;
- Providing an effective administrative, information and council support service to core service delivery functions (Records Management, Committee Administration, Call Centre, Auxiliary and Public participation);
- Provide sound record keeping, records management practices, resolution tracking, drafting & distribution of documentation service;
- Manages the implementation of financial controls/ procedures and provides information to support financial planning sequences;
- Manage, monitor and control the budget of the section;
- Adhere to Supply Chain Management policies;
- Manages outcomes associated with utilization, productivity and performance of personnel within the Administration Section;
- Render management and line function administrative support services to the Division;
- Keep abreast of current developments, legislative changes, emerging trends and latest technologies in the profession.
