SENIOR ACCOUNTANT: LOGISTICS & DISPOSAL

REQUIREMENTS:

• B Comm Accounting or relevant B Tech at NQF level 7;
• 4 years relevant experience;
• Computer Literacy – Office applications including advanced Excel;
• Detailed knowledge of SCM policies and procedures;
• Code B driving License;
• Advanced report writing and analytical skills;
• Strong negotiation, planning and Organizing skills;
• Attention to detail;
• Good communication skills;
• Report writing and presentation skills;
• Must be assertive and have attention to detail;
• Must be able to speak, read and write in at least two of the official languages in Kouga Municipality (Afrikaans, English, and Xhosa).

SALARY:                                                          R289 288.19 – 375 499.29 Per Annum

TASK:                                                               11                                           

DUTIES:

• Coordinates and implements specific functions associated with the planning and implementation of logistics and disposal management functions;
• Prepare reports on stock level and stock movement and prepare monthly and quarterly reports;
• Source quotation/s for informal quote for stock items of stores inventory;
• Prepare mini evaluations for quotes received and thereafter complete requisition for approval by superiors;
• Prepare informal evaluation of quotes and make requisitions;
• Coordinates and sign off delivery notes;
• Develop or research specification for Stores Stock items prior to procurement of the required items
• Prepare reconciliation on inventory stock level, monthly, quarterly and annually;
• Coordinates tasks/ activities associated with controlling personnel performance, productivity and discipline;
• Disseminates functional and operational information on the immediate, short and long-term objectives and current developments, problems and constraints;
• Maintaining supplier relationships;
• Urgent actions need to be taken to deal with critical issues e.g., deadlines, meeting preparations, etc.
