ARTISAN PLUMBER-SEWERAGE
REQUIREMENTS:
- Relevant NQF level 5 qualification - Trade Tested Plumber;
- 2 years relevant experience;
- Sound knowledge of plumbing maintenance and installation techniques;
- Good problem finding and judgmental skills;
- Good communication skills;
- Ability to work independently;
- Attention to detail;
- Good supervisory skills;
- Must be able to speak, read and write in at least two of the official languages in Kouga Municipality (Afrikaans, English, and Xhosa).
SPECIAL CONDITIONS:
- Required to work in all weather conditions;
- Required to work outside normal working hours during emergencies and planned overtime;
- Required to be on standby;
SALARY: R245 067.56 – R 318 069.21
TASK: 10
DUTIES:
- Interprets and co-ordinates specific pre-work/ site requirements with regards to installation, repairs and, planned and predictive maintenance sequences and guides the activities of personnel;
- Coordinates and controls tasks/ activities associated with controlling personnel performance, productivity and discipline within the functionality;
- Coordinates activities associated with the repairs, maintenance and installations of sewer pumps, water pipes and manholes;
- Completes internal transactional documentation (e.g. time sheets, log sheet, progress and productivity field report, etc.) and related forms (vehicle checklist, faulty pumps, water leaks, etc);
- Performs specific activities associated with communications and providing support to line functions;
- Inspecting and identifying leaks in the system, isolating defective area, and commencing with repair sequence (Removing and installing of water pipes);
- Working outdoors in all weather conditions carrying tools on waxed pipeline to detect leaks;
- Locating equipment and conducting relevant investigations (water leaks, faulty pumps, etc.).
TOWN PLANNER: LAND USE MANAGEMENT SCHEME
REQUIREMENTS:
- Relevant NQF level 7 qualification;
- 4 years relevant experience;
- Code B Driving License;
- Computer literate – Office Applications;
- Thorough knowledge of Land Use, Town and Regional planning, GIS and IDP planning processes and Local Government Sector processes;
- Sound knowledge of research and analytical theories and practices;
- Excellent communication skills;
- Excellent, report writing and presentation skills;
- Attention to detail;
- Drive and tenacity to lead a senior multi-disciplinary team during IDP and Land Use Planning processes;
- Monitoring of performance;
- Must be able to speak, read and write in at least two of the official languages in Kouga Municipality (Afrikaans, English, and Xhosa).
SPECIAL CONDITIONS: Nil.
SALARY: R432 929.37 – R561 935.91 Per Annum (Excluding Vehicle Allowance)
TASK: 14
DUTIES:
- Implements and controls the policies and strategies associated with the provision of land use management schemes and settlement planning;
- Controls outcomes associated with utilization, productivity, and performance of personnel within the Land Use Management Scheme Section;
- Prepares capital and operating estimates and controls expenditure against the approved budget allocations;
- Controls the planning and operational efficiency of specific approaches associated with the functionality;
- Disseminates functional and operational information on the immediate and current developments, problems and constraints;
- Implements specific administrative and reporting requirements associated with the key performance and result indicators of the functionality;
