42 X LIFE GUARDS (15 November 2019 – 17 January 2020)
REQUIREMENTS:
- Valid Surf Proficiency Award or Lifeguard Award Qualification;
- 1 Years experience as s life guard;
- Must be physically fit (attached re test documentation);
- Fluent in at least 2 of the 3 official languages prevalent in the Kouga Area;
- Preference will be given to people residing in the Kouga area.
SALARY: R350 per day
DUTIES:
- Performs activities/ tasks associated with Lifesaving duties;
- Performing beach patrol duties.
12 X BLUE FLAG LIFE GUARDS (1 November 2019 – 30 April 2020)
REQUIREMENTS:
- Valid Surf Proficiency Award or Lifeguard Award Qualification;
- 2 Years’ experience as a life guard;
- Must be physically fit (attached re test documentation);
- Valid First Aid qualification;
- Fluent in at least 2 of the 3 official languages prevalent in the Kouga Area;
- Preference will be given to people residing in the Kouga area.
SALARY: R9163.00 (all-inclusive per month)
DUTIES:
- Performs activities/ tasks associated with Lifesaving duties;
- Performing beach patrol duties;
- Performs administrative duties.
1 X SHARK SPOTTER: BLUE FLAG (1 November 2019 – 30 April 2020)
REQUIREMENTS:
- Grade 10;
- Must be able to scan coastal waters for sharks from an elevated platform;
- Must have excellent eyesight;
- Background in lifesaving, fishing industry and/or surfing will be an added advantage;
- Fluent in at least 2 of the 3 official languages prevalent in the Kouga Area;
- Preference will be given to people residing in the Kouga area.
SALARY: R9163.00 (all-inclusive per month)
DUTIES:
- Ensuring beach safety through both shark warnings and emergency assistance in the event of shark incident;
- Provide and promote public awareness about shark related issues;
- Contribute to research on shark ecology should the need arise.

6 X LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS (1 November 2019 – 30 April 2020)
REQUIREMENTS:
- Grade 12 or equivalent:
- Clean criminal record;
- Valid drivers license;
- 2 Years’ Experience in Municipal Law Enforcement or equivalent;
- Fluent in at least 2 of the 3 official languages prevalent in the Kouga Area;
- Preference will be given to people residing in the Kouga area.
SALARY: R13 012.00 (all-inclusive per month)
DUTIES:
- Performs activities/ tasks associated with maintaining law, order, safety and security;
- Ensuring laid down policing, protection, procedures and attending to processes aimed at ensuring compliance with laws, by-laws and regulations;
- Ensuring action to situation threatening safety is identified and promptly attended to.
10 X SECURITY OFFICERS (1 December 2019 – 31 January 2020)
REQUIREMENTS:
- Grade 10;
- PSIRA Registered Grade C;
- 1 Years Experience;
- Clean criminal record;
- Fluent in at least 2 of the 3 official languages prevalent in the Kouga Area;
- Preference will be given to people residing in the Kouga area.
SALARY: R8 334.00 (all-inclusive per month)
DUTIES:
- Performs activities/ tasks associated with maintaining safety and security
- Ensuring Access control is adhered to;
- Performing Patrol duties
