Kouga Local Municipality will officially begin the demolition of the Kouga Cultural Centre in Humansdorp on Friday, 23 May 2025, following Council’s final approval in April this year. The demolition process, set to take approximately six weeks, will be carried out in line with the Municipal Policy and Procedures of Immovable Assets and all applicable legislation. The municipality will also ensure minimal disruption to surrounding businesses and motorists during this period.

The event honoured staff members who have reached milestones of 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, and 40 years of service, presenting certificates and tokens of appreciation to commemorate their dedication. Special provisions were also made to ensure that early retirees and medically boarded staff were recognised with certificates and gifts.
